Two beauties
Two plants posted by (?correct name translation?) Tower Botanical Gardens in Taiwan. The first appears to be the real Iris sichuanensis (ones in cultivation are mostly or perhaps all Iris tectorum). The second - perhaps a purple Iris japonica - really pretty. Note the purple-based foliage. It would be fun to try and grow these, and also to hybridize them. Dave Ferguson |
