Re: 2016 Seed Exchange

Liquid Fence has proven to be an excellent deterrent against marauding deer since I began using it about 10 or so years ago.

I'm really hoping to be able to donate a lot more seed this coming year. Got a lot of beds weeded so I should have better bloom. It's frustrating just how frequently my hand-pollinations fail though. Or the flowers or pods are eaten by deer...

My printed list arrived yesterday in California.

I knew there were not many donations this year, but was rather shocked to see how small the list is. Oh well, I already have three pods forming on an I. planifolia and am pollenating various I. unguicularis, I. reticulata, and I. histrio for next year.

The 2016 seed exchange is now up on the website.  Newsletters have already been sent via regular US mail and should have started arriving in peoples mailboxes today.  E-newsletters will be sent out this afternoon (in about 2 hours from now).

As always, PLEASE PICK SUBSTITUTES, especially if you're buying items in short supply.  We can't update the website in real time, so those VF and FW picks might sell out before we can update it.

I always get a little nervous at the start of the seed sale until I know for sure things are working properly.  Please let me know if you have ANY trouble placing your order.  For example, if you don't get a copy of your order via email within 5 or 10 minutes, that's a problem.  Let me know.

FYI, the seeds from Pat Toolan are still somewhere in transit.  All other seeds have been received.  If you try to buy the seeds form Pat, please specify substitutes just in case....  thanks.
Thanks!
