Hi folks,
I have an older Huber versata called Clin D'oeil in bloom now,
which I've been enjoying. It looks pretty much like a versicolor, dark
red-violet, but it's blooming three or four weeks later than the others. I
got a few of his newer ones from Iris City last fall, which mostly didn't
bloom this spring. I'm looking forward to those.
Does anyone have a source for the versicolor "Chagall" which was
pictured in the SIGNA bulletin? And others by Monique? Also, Tony has a
few straight versicolors which don't seem to be commercially available in
the States yet. I remember a Canadian source mentioned at the convention
in Hamilton last year, but didn't make note of it.
Some of the wide cross hybrids don't quite meet the BBI test (are
they Beyond Botanically Intersting?) but when they do they can add so much.
