I was sort of surprised that many have found tigridias difficult. My only complaint has been that they are not sold except in mixed colors.
Brent & Becky's Bulbs sells them per color. They offered 5 types this past year: white, red, yellow, pale red (pink), and pale yellow. Oh, and then they offered mixed, which is what I bought.

pale yellow = T. pavonia "canariensis"
yellow = T. pavonia "aurea"
red = T. pavonia "speciosa"
pink = T. pavonia "Liliacea"
white = T. pavonia "alba"
At these prices you can grow them as annuals, really.
