request for species id


Hi,

I received the following request to identify an iris from photos. My
conclusion was I. ruthenica (or possibly I. uniflora). Other opinions
are welcome.

            Hi Ken, I understand you are a expert on iris. I have a tiny iris,I have had for 40 years. I dont know if it is a native, or domestic. It is fiberous rooted, like or native pacific coast iris. It only gets 4" or 5" tall, foliege the same. It bloomed two or three weeks ago. I gave a blooming clump to Mrs. Beulo the head of the Spokane iris society. She said she had never seen any thing like it. That was several years ago, she still has no idea what it is.
