Alophia drummondii - (1/5)


 

I got home early today and was delighted to see another bloom on Alophia
drummondii. It appeared to be withering already so I grabbed my camera
and took several dozen photos. :-) Here are the best 5. I hope you
like them!

Photo #1 shows a typical view of the flower. There are two seedpods
behind it. Plants in the background are Helenium autumnale and
Echinacea purpurea. The flower of Alophia drummondii is about an inch
across... slightly more, perhaps.
