Re: another UP iris


 

Thanks - I was planning to look for irises and actually had a copy of that paper with me! I did not try any petal measurements. Here's a photo of the entire clump, growing in a roadside ditch in standing water. The foliage is perhaps four feet tall, with the flowers held well below the tops of the basal leaves. Most stems had one long branch, or sometimes a second small one.
