Neither I. versicolor nor I. pesudacorus does very well in the ground for me
here in the DFW area. I. pesudacorus does grow if given enough water or a
pond. I. versicolor just can't seem to take the heat. I would recommend the
virginica X versicolor hybrids if you want that 'look'. I can probably
spare a rhizome or two if you'll contact me off list.
