Thanks for the albicans update. The "chimera" here did not bloom either so we know nothing more than previous pontifications.

Albicans, in general, here did have a longer bloom season than the norm.

My cross of Desert Diamond (AB) to Albicans turned out to be much like baby sittin'. I watch the bloom. I decide it takes. I watch the overy. I decide it didn't. I watch it swell. I decide it did. I watch it grow. I decide it's blank. I watch some more. I decide it's not. I check each day to see if it's browned. I decide it's blank. Finally it splits. I start to shell. The first side is a void. The second one too. Optimism sinks. Frustration starts. I get too the third. Wahoo! Two very fine seeds! Optimism grows!

Now bout them kids. I've got a new grand kid about 7 months old. He cannot stand up. Nor can he crawl. He doesn't waste much energy at all. He just rolls where ever he wants to go. His name is William. I'm thinkin' he's more Southern than the others. Maybe I'll call him Lazy Will.

Round iris seeds
And flowers for givin'
Rollin' grand kids?
Lord no, I ain't agin'
Startin' to skid.
Growin' 'em both is shore nuff livin' !

Smiles,
Bill Burleson
