I have had the yellow blue eyed grass for two years in the same place. Two 8 inch clumps on either side of the front walk. The clumps have not grown much in the time I've had them. However it might be like Ivy. Wait for 4 years then get of the way.

 

This year has been a banner year for borers. I was late with the Merit. The borers seemed to have come from the edges of the beds. I had some weed mat down just beyond the iris and between two rows of gladiola and at lest 5 iris were attacked in the area. One borer to a cultivar, however in an LA I found 3, one large and two little sisters. I have not had serious borer problems with use of Merit so where did these suckers come from?
