A word of caution about website information such as correct naming. I haseen some pretty bad errors on websites that should be authoritative. I suspect this is partly because we are all human and partly because I doubt that websites recieve as much scrutiny by peers of material before it is published. The internet is a fun place by it lacks a lot of credibility at times. I have even seen university sites explaining nomemcalture that should there reference sources, that are using a 50 year old outdated reference.

This is the one that pops up all over here - to my delight.

The wild flower that drives me crazy in my gardens is the
Northern White Violet: Viola pallens, Family Violaceae. *
Flowers April - July. * Habitat: Wet woods and clearings. *
Range: Across Canada and northern United States. *Native.
