virginica shreveii

Finally found a reference for seed pod length. Mathews says seed pods of shrevei are 7 to 11 cm. long and at least twice as long as broad. He doesn't give a length for versicolor, but lists virginica as 4 to 7 cm. long and nowhere near twice as long as broad. I'm sure I've never seen a versicolor with 7 cm. pods. When I was struggling to identify them, I found seed pods as the sure sign.
