RE: Iris ruthenica


I divided mine last fall and lined out 11 and lost all but 1. Apparently September isn't the time to divide...

I've divided my Iris ruthenica red form as soon as it
was done flowering. At that time it is still in the spring
growing period and the weather is not hot yet. Earlier
might be even better, but I don't want to disturb the
bloom.
