Dear Rodney,
Here is my request list. Please feel free to
substitute guided by the flavor of my choices. I have obtained a
Sisyrinchium again from the wild and have it growing in a safe place, trusting
that it will not be burried alive as the previous one. I will send it in
the fall when it goes dormant. Did the Lousiana I sent you prove to be your
fulva, or Red Echo? I hope, but there is some possibility that the one you sent
was planted in an unfavorable spot and did not survive. In spite of our
high rainfall, drainage on my property is entirely too good so I
have continually water my Lousianas, and have very poor
germination. I did not attempt to make many crosses this year, but if I
get some Lousiana pods I am going to plant them as soon as they look mature and
not let them dry out.
