I. tridentata was: Iris prismatica

Speaking of Iris tridentata, if one were to breed I. tridentata for introduction, what would be considered a good bud count? I've had plants bloom with a single terminal bud. This year I have two plants with 3 buds: one with 2 terminal buds and a branch and another with 1 terminal bud an two branches. Would two terminal buds and two branches be considered a good goal for this species?
