PCN x prismatica

I'm sad to report that none of the prismaticas accepted the PCN pollen.  All the ovaries have turned yellow without forming seed pods.  The same thing happened on the Louisiana species I tried (brevicaulis and fulva)... but versicolor and/or Murrayana may yet still set seed.  Tridentata will bloom in a few weeks, so I'll try the PCN pollen on that species too.

I'm so bummed !!!  I was really excited about the prospect of PCN x prismatica hybrids.  Murrayana would be particularly cool, too, since it's a crisp white vigorous flower.  I hope some of those crosses take.  Us midwesterners need some PCN spec-x irises!  :-)
