Lovely too,
Lars. How tall is it?
John showed some
slides of that trip to China at the NALS 2001 convention in Hamilton,
Ont. Pretty awesome photos, and some very primitive
settings.
Part of that visit
to Hamilton also included a visit to Chuck Chapman's place in Guelph, Ont,
where Chuck unofficially started my garden judge training. There were
spuria iris blooming there that day too, the first time I'd ever seen
them.

Subject: [iris-species]
todays specie
Hi all,
This one did I get from seed by Ole Larsen
(some of you might know him from the lily group), he and John Lykkegaard was
some years ago on a Lily collecting trip with Mrs Chen Yi in China. It is
the most easterly growing spuria species (as far as I know). It is growing
in my rock garden. Last year was the first year I was able to collect seed
from it.
Med venlig hilsen / Kind
regards
