Re: pseudatas, versatas, and versilaevs

I believe the typical pseudatas are diploid and sterile, with a very unbalanced number of chromosomes. The pseudacorus parent of many (most?) is 'Gubijin', which is supposed to be 2n=35, while ensata is 2n=24.

There are a fair number of pseudatas on the market.  Are they fertile?  I never seem to get pods on mine.

I have a tetraploid versata blooming... or at least I think I do... so I tried Googling pics of versatas, but came up blank.  There's plenty of versilaev pics, though!  I couldn't even find a pic of a versata on Tom Tamberg's site.  :-/
