Yes, but it's too bad each blossom only lasts an afternoon. I've been crossing clones on those days that I'm at home when blooms are open on more than one plant.

I grew Iris decora once years ago but that plant was not long lived. This time I'm refrigerating the pots in the winter on the belief that they prefer to be cool and dry in the winter. I think I can divide the clone that has been blooming for a couple years. There is a common belief that it cannot be divided, but I have been dividing its relative, Iris barbatula for many years; you just need to be careful to untangle the swollen roots while keeping them attached to their respective growing points. Starting this fall, I'll experiment with leaving one of the divisions out exposed to our winter rains.
