Iris tridentata

The pace of Iris blooming really slows down in my garden in mid-June.  Yesterday I had only 1 flower and it was on Iris tetra-versata.  Today that's gone, but a new bloom appeared on I. tridentata (the first of the season) and that species should should carry me through until July.  I wonder how many other Iris growers have non-stop iris blooms from March to July.   :-)

My patch of tridentata is large and should produce dozens of flowers on which I plan to try pollen from prismatica, PCNs, foetidissima, versicolor, and Siberians.  I tried the same crosses last year and got no results, but it never hurts to try again.
