Re: Murrayana and cultivation

 

El; Sorry about the misspelling. Thanks for changing it. I noticed you also grow murrayana. I just reformatted that page and there is now a spot for Cultivation information. Would you like to contribute how you grow it in Canada? I would like to add cultivation information to all the species from areas around the country. I am not sure how to encourage this. Would adding a comment box in the Cultivation segment get people to comment?

Hi El. Congratulations on your bloom. I hope you do not mind me using your photo on the Wiki. See
http://wiki.irises.org/bin/view/Spec/SpecShrevei . We are redoing all the pages on the Encyclopedia to a new format, especially designed to emphasize images. Of course if I do not have an image I can not change the format. But hopefully we will have many images for each species and each cultivar. Note the added features of attempting to include cultivation information and distribution. Take a look at Virginica for the ultimate in distribution. I hope to someday have maps for every species. I hope I live long enough to see these ideas completed.--Thanks, Bob
