I wrote a piece for the RHS magazine The Plantsman (now The Plant Review) in 2015 bringing together details of all the forms of Iris foetidissima as known at that time. Unfortunately it’s not available online but I’ve asked the RHS for permission to share it.

Gardening in icy Pennsylvania for twenty years I lost most of my collection, but now I’m back in the UK I’m looking to build it up again. Donations or swaps of unusual forms would be most welcome.

Back in 2011 Carol Lankow sent me some amazing photos of  Iris foetidissima  but asked me not to share. She had planned to write an article or ask someone else to write it and use the photos. I don’t think it ever came to pass. Would it be appropriate to post them here?
