re: Iris Sindpers

I cheated yesterday and simply checked the web. Well, it was wrong! The actual info on this iris is; Raised by Van Tubergen and introduced in 1889. (1889! Wow, 20 years older than my mother.) A cross of Iris sindjarensis (now Iris aucheri) x Iris persica. A tip of the hat to Bob Pries who set me straight, weather he knows it or not.

I took another pic this evening as it seemed much bluer today. But the setting sun seems to wash out the blue. No, it's not just my camera!
