Re: Iris narcissflora


Iris narcissiflora is one of the species that no one
seems to know anything at all about. As yet it does
not seem that any legitimate plants have made it into
cultivation. The orginal herbarium speciemens are so
bad that No one is really sure as to the series or
section of the genus Iris that it belongs. It comes
from the Himalayas and no doubt experiences quite a
bit of cold but this may be moderated by heavy snow
packs, and himalayan plants can be tricky. Because
there have yet to be recent collections that are
proven we can not even be sure of what the natural
habitat is like.
