Re: Is this prismatica?

Dennis I'd say it's an LA not prismatica. Prismatica has stolons.

Subject: [iris-species] Is this prismatica?

Sorry once again for the annoying cross-posting. ...

I prepared a new bed (using those plastic totes) in which I plan to
transplant all my Iris fulva, tridentata, and prismatica. I'm
transplanting them from my pond, where things are grown in 12" pots
(either square or round) and have gotten rather mixed up and overgrown
(or died out) over the years.

The attached photos are supposed to be Iris prismatica. I have never
dug & divided Iris prismatica before, and in fact I have only seen it
bloom one time. So I don't have a lot of experience with it. However,
my instinct tells me these rhizomes belong to the Louisiana tribe, and
may in fact be Iris fulva.

And so..... I'm hoping someone online can quickly give me a "yay" or
"nay" as to whether these are in fact Iris prismatica rhizomes.

advTHANKSance,
Dennis in Ohio (where spring has sprung! and my first blooms of the
season opened yesterday... .. Iris reticulata. Woo hoo!)
