Nelson D Young did significant research on Pacifica iris while at the Section of Ecology and Systematics, Cornell University in Ithica NY. He then went to the Dept of Biology, Vanderbilt Universitiy in Nashville, TN 37240.

Carol Wilson and her students work on the genetics of beardless iris - see a short faculty profile and links to her Iris World research at: www.rsabg.org/v15/graduate-program/134 and a recent related publication: www.bioone.org/doi/pdf/10.1600/036364409X464984
