VERY early Iris histrio

Here's Iris histrio ssp. aintabensis flowering March 7th in a
completely exposed spot (hence the wind-swept look), several days
earlier than its previous record here. Iris histrioides and I.
bakeriana are also in flower, and Crocus korolkowii has been blooming
for several weeks. The ground never froze solid this winter, and snow
cover didn't last for more than a few days at a time.
