SV: spring has arrived


 

It is the same here, we are promissed a snowstorm the next 24 ours.

The only reti I have in flower is bakeriana.

I keep waiting for spring.... my early bloomers must have all died.  I still have *nothing* in bloom in my garden.  This is really sad...

Reticulatas are just coming into bloom here (not counting the super-early I. vartanii). This wild-collected clone of reticulata beat all my other early bloomers this year. I plan to hand-pollinate some of them for the seed exchange - are reticulatas self-compatible or should I cross different clones?
