An excellent book. I can recommend it very highly. He has made a point
of using common words, rather then botanical words where possible. But
does go into a lot of plant taxonomoy and relationships. A large number
of well well done dichotomous plant keys, for identifying groups and
species within groups. Not as detailed on iris or south American
plants. He has specialized on African plants and has written over 200
articles on iridaceae. The world's expert on the topic.
