Hi all,

 

SIGNA needs help! We need candidates (volunteers!) to fill two offices, a Director and a Vice-president.

 

Both of these positions serve on the board and thereby help make major decisions regarding the operation of the club. SIGNA is in good financial condition and running smoothly again (now that we have a new seed exchange chair and editor), so I'm not expecting for there to be any major issues to resolve in the near future. That is to say that the time commitment should be minimal. Business is conducted by email.

 

Directors serve for a single 4 year term. The VP serves a 2 year term but there is no term limit. These terms would begin Jan 1, 2020.

 

The V-P has the added responsibility to acting for the president in h is absence. The ideal candidate would be someone who often attends the AIS convention so that they can sub for the president at the SIGNA meeting there if necessary. However that's not a absolute requirement. Also, there would be no expectation that the V-P would step up to the presidency, unless they were truly interested at some time.

 

Finally, officers must be AIS members.

Serving in either of these positions would be an easy, and not very time consuming, way to make a contribution to SIGNA. Please contact me if you have any questions or to volunteer.
