native plant sale

Hamilton County Parks District (the county in which Cincinnati resides) is
having a wild flower sale this weekend. I stopped in today and came home
with an armload of wildflowers including some scrumptious Iris cristatas,
and also some local genotype Iris versicolors (or is that Irises
versicolor? Where's Hyancinth Bucket when I need her).

Anyway, finding those for sale encourages me that at least Iris versicolor
can be found nearby Cincinnati. Unfortunately I'm more interested in
hunting Iris fulva and Iris brevicaulis. I'm going to try contacting the
park service to see if they know of any within the park system.

Dennis in Cincinnati (where the AB's and SDB's are showing off)
