having a wild flower sale this weekend.

Dennis,
I am glad to see that places are having Native Plant Sales.  There was one here Feb. 28, 29, March 1.  There are going to be three more this month.  Shown here is a look at what it looked at.  But by the time I took this photo, much of the good stuff had been sold.  I had already been there...

I couldn't agree more!  I got there at about noon, yesterday, and the sale had started at 9am.  I couldn't believe how much of the stuff was already sold-out by the time I arrived.  Fortunately none of the sold-out items were anything I wanted.  For me the two TDF items (to die for) were the locally native sourced Iris versicolor and Passiflora incarnata.  I bought two of each.

The funny thing about that Passiflora is that I've tried countless times to get it from different mail order nurseries.  Each time it was sold out!  So this is my first time in about 6 years of trying to finally get my hands on it.  The fact that it's local genotype just couldn't be more cool.  I've also heard that they're self-sterile, so in hindsight I'm glad I bought the two.  (I didn't remember that fact until I got home.  Simple greed motivated me to get two when I found them at the sale!)
