Oh no!  I'm sooo disappointed.  I did a Google search and sure enough the 
photos I found are a dead-ringer for my variegated iris.  What a shame!  I 
was all excited thinking I had discovered a variegated versicolor or 
virginica or something.  Well, at least that explains the lack of stems & 
pods & such.
