I meant not the same species.

I. setosa canadensis differs not only in size and bloom time from I. setosa
var. interior but in leaf type. The canadensis clones I've raised show a
more slender, rigid leaf than that of the Alaskan beauty.

While they may be closely related, they have a more difficult time crossing
than if they were variations of a single species and more often than not,
the seedlings have shown some deformity.
