Crossing tectorum X Diploid

I noticed the white tectorum blooming and I got a notion to cross it with a diploid. I had purchased two diploid's, May Allison and Quaker Maid, with this in mind. Quaker Maid went to the Big Iris Garden in the Sky.

I went to get an anther from May Allison and to my chagrin I could not find one. Now, I recognize my eyes are no longer the eagle visage of my youth, but!

I had Lynn Markam's Understated and resorted to her species cross as the pollen provider. Any opinions?
