black-stemmed Siberian?

I saw a black-stemmed iris at a plant sale - unfortunately for me, it
was heading out past the cashier, and was the only one. I think it
was a Siberian. I was so struck by the unusual stem that I didn't
pay attention to the flower, so it must have been ordinary. Does
anyone know what it was?
