I have one that is very darked stemmed and could be mistaken for a siberian until it actually blooms. Gerald Darby?? Charles Darby. I'm having a bit of a brain cramp on the name right now. I think it's a species cross, versicolor x.

Diane,
         I don't know of any named varieties like this, but I have had one 
show up in my hybridizing.  I don't remember the exact cross, but it was 
pretty close

 to I sibirica, and also had dark red bracts.  I've seen 
setosas with dark stems too.
