Sisyrinchium sp.

Here's the variety that I got from a nursery sale. The flowers are
more intensely colored, larger, and slightly taller (approx. 14"
compared to 12" of the ones in the local park).

At the park I found at least 8 patches, in addition to several
isolated clumps. Most of the patches had at least a dozen flowering
clumps. One isolated clump was quite large with dozens of fans
joined together. I couldn't believe there weren't other clumps
nearby. I'm assuming it takes several years for a clump to get that large.

I never saw any color variation. All of them were the same pale blue.
