Iris fulva 'Lois'

Well, I once thought this might bloom in April... but the buds have been
SOOO slow to open, now we're in mid-May and I think they're getting
ready to bloom, at last.

The other iris in the background is a "wild" iris that I collected off
an abandoned farm where they were going to widen the road. I had driven
by for years and smiled as the clump bloomed each spring. I've found
another "abandoned" clump of the exact same iris about 12 miles north
along the interstate. Anyway, for lack of a better name I call it 'Wild
Lakota' because I found it near Lakota High School.

You'll notice my Iris fulva is in a bucket. This is my first time to
try growing them this way.
