Re: Iris urmiensis


 

Sorry I don't have any details about this.  An acquaintance is growing it at a university greenhouse.  He's a grad student there.  He also has Iris paradoxa about to bloom, but I probably won't get to see it.  He grows lots of South African irids, most of which bloomed in January and February.  He also had some Sisyrinchium in bloom which were quite tall for the native species.  My favorites though, were his collection of Sarracenia (pitcher plants).
