I guess I must really be spoiled by some of the other super-sweet smelling seedlings I've got here (mostly from KUPARI pallida background) because to me CRICKET SONG smells a little bit like celery - not bad but not one of the best smelling for sure. I guess you're right though, it is an iris kind of smell.

Shown is the Iris CRICKET SONG (Silvers, 2012) which is currently in bloom. It is an MTB with a parentage of several warmer climate Iris species involved. I hope I can keep this pretty little thing growing here. The flower is so pretty, and it has that good Iris smell.
