I can't grow them well at all. I think they don't like my soil chemistry. I can grow tons of other Iris species but not the native I. cristata. It sucks. :-( My answer for how NOT to grow them = at my house. LOL I have one location in a shady spot next to my house where a couple cultivars manage to survive, but they don't always bloom (like this year they didn't bloom) and they are not vigorous, and they do not increase well. In all other locations they've died. |
