Iris graminea

Okay, this sounds like a stupid question, but how do you pollinate I.
graminea? I have a whole clump of them with flowers of varying ages but
I couldn't get pollen to stick to any of the stigmatic lips.... which
don't even look like stigmatic lips they look like manta ray faces. And
what's with the neon orange pollen? I. graminea is weird.
