Re: overwintering seedlings

I have overwintered seedlings on a west facing enclosed unheated porch
to get an earlier start towards first bloom. I regulate temperature by
opening windows a bit if temps are getting too high, opening the door to
the house a bit when it looks like it might get below freezing out
there. If I'm not going to be here & am worried about temperature
extremes, I leave the door to the house open a bit.

Hills & trees shadow it a bit, so my porch doesn't get enough direct
sun, even on sunny winter days during our warm spells to be a problem.
Temps range from above 35 to less than 80 throughout.

At least I <think> that's what I remember from last year <g>

<I have about 20 or so (ranging from < 0.5" to
                   >over 2" in height) that I still have in small pots
on my enclosed -
