For the upcoming 2008 SIGNA seed exchange, I have a new idea planned for
the SIGNA website. I'll add photos of the actual parent plants.
For example, this year I donated seeds of a particularly nice specimen
of Iris brevicaulis that I selfed. Another donation was seeds from a
dark red Louisiana hybrid with yellow edges on the falls, that I
selfed. Both photos are attached.
Anyway, I think you get the idea. In addition to the description in the
catalog, I'd like to offer links to photos so people can see what their
seeds might grow into.
And so, if you donated seeds this year, and if you have photos of your
flowers. Could you send them to me directly? And I'll do my best to
match them up to the catalog when it becomes available. I have no idea
how well this work--there might be unforeseen difficulties. But still,
let's give it a try!
Thanks,
Dennis in Ohio (webmaster for SIGNA)
PS: There's still some seeds from last year's list for sale at half
price! Check it out http://www.signa.org/index.pl?OrderingSeeds
