vintage aril iris photos

For those of you not on the Aril Society mailing list, I wanted to bring your attention to a collection of about 300 vintage iris photos which have been published to the ASI website.  There are a great many photos of iris species in situ, in places like Turkey, Iran, Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan, etc. from about 40 years ago.  There are also photos of modern hybrids (of that era) and seedlings which were not necesarily registered & introduced.

If you're an iris lover, you will no doubt enjoy this blast from the past.  :-)
