I've checked registrations. This was listed in 1939 checklist as Colchesterensis.

Mostraosa is listed in 1939 checklist as  being a TB

There isn't any listing  for Albopururea Monstrosa in registration database.

'Monstrosa'  series Laevigatea was listed in BIS yearbook 1985 pg 64.

Albopurpurea monsrosa  was listed in Laurie's Garden catalog 1992. Pictures  of the two forms in Laurie's web site show  Colchesterensis. as being very dark and no margin. The photo of Monsrosa match  the picture of the double I posted, but also matches the original picture in The Garden .

So  as far as official data and original registration  the picture I posted should be  Colchesterensis.

There doesn't appear to be any official Monstrosa" or "Albopurpurea Monstosa"
