Luis, I spent about 20 years living in Salinas and also bough many plants from Bokay Nursery. I am also an old friend of Joe Ghio's. It is very likely that your plant is one of Joe's seedlings which he selected at maiden bloom, but later chose not to introduce. Joe is in the practice of selling the plants left in his seedling field after he removes all the reselect seedlings as landscape plants. He sells them to a local nursery wholesaler who pots them up and then sells them to many of the local retail nurseries in the area. Joe produces thousands of seedlings each year, may of them excellent plants, but selects only a handful each year to introduce. Many of those not selected are too similar to
varieties he has already introduced to introduce themselves, but may in all ways be just as good a plant. I myself have grown many of his seedlings like this. The downside is that their parentage is lost, and although we (or even Joe) may guess as to what it is, we can never know for sure. If you wish to refer to such plants in future pedigrees, I suggest simply indicated that it is a Ghio seedling of unknown parentage. I hope this helps. I am glad to see you having success with these wonderful iris in your part of the world. You may also be interested to know Joe sells seed from crosses he has made or perhaps from bee pods. These seeds produce many excellent plants (and germinate easily for me) and can be a great way to get more genetic material to places where importing plants is not possible or cost effective. Bill

Well I am sending this email as my last resort, as I explanin in this attached email I tried to contact with the nursery in Salinas, where I got my first PCI, so I wonder if somebody knows the place or some hybridizer can recognize it, I know it is not easy, but it means a lot for me to find out its name, I know NOW around that area there are a lot bigger nurseries and probably Joe GhioÂs could be an answer or the only one.
Thanks all for your help and information I can get by the emails from these our group. Thanks again
