I planted I.narcifolia grown from seeds last spring. I don't remember
when, but it was later than June, maybe end of July or begin of August
it have lost leaves as it was for you. I thought it died, but this
spring it appeared again and grew until autumn. I think it is now with
leaves too, but it not flowered this year yet, maybe next. Last year I
did not covered it, but along data by J.W.Waddick and Zhao Yu-tang
"Irises of China" it grow in Western Sichuan with lower temperatures
until -7C. Last winter we had sufficient cover of snow, so it remain
alive. This winter I must take better care.
