Sorry everyone, I was so busy worrying about typing the message that I forgot to attach the photos.  So here they are.

Subject: [iris-species] Iris kamaonensis?

Hi,

I am a new member of this group.  I live in New Zealand but love growing species Irises, so thought I'd join this group as it looked very interesting.

A few of years ago I obtained some seed of Iris kamaonensis.  From memory it was collected in the wild somewhere.  I have three plants that are now of flowering size, two of which seem to match the description, and this one which is different (see attached photos).  It grows 30-40cm high and has pale flowers, tinged with blue.  The photos show the whole plant, and a close-up of a flowering stem with two flowers.

I'd really appreciate some help in identifying this species.

Regards,
Kate
